Cosmic Latina is the pseudonym for Monica Sleeter. Monica is a writer and high school Language Arts teacher. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in English – Creative Writing and Spanish Literature from the University of South Florida Monica was both a McNair and Latino Scholar. In 2007 she received the Inaugural Hispanic Heritage Excellence in Education Award (high school) presented to her by then governor, Charlie Crist. In 2011, Monica received her Master’s in English Education from the University of South Florida. She is wife to the Wolfmaster and mother to their wolfpack that includes humans and canines. Monica writes short stories and poems that have been deeply influenced by her Latino heritage. Monica is an immigrant from Colombia, South America. Along with her job in the public school system and her local community college as an adjunct professor at Hillsborough Community College. Monica is also a wife and mom. She is working on her first YA novel.
